Just how fast was Souichi (Hal) underwater against Voja? A perception blitz analysis.
NOTE : We must first establish a fair baseline. Both are in extreme conditions. On one hand, Voja is severely hypoxic (short of breath) and nearly blinded by the filthy seawater. On the other hand, Souichi is operating under a very fatal structural debuff which his leg was shattered by a pickaxe/pole. Since both of these debuffs are extremely crippling (Voja's sensory/reaction impairment vs. Souichi's loss of basic mobility), we can assume they cancel each other out. With these equalized states, we can assess the raw output of their confrontation.
Percepation Blitz Analysis: Based on the data (such as the speed of the diamond projectile), Voja has a reaction speed in the range of atleast Mach 1. In the execution panel, Voja thought "CRAP...!" and had time to swing her knife back. However, Souichi did not catch her eyes at all (marked with a shock effect "!"). This is pure Perception Blitz. Voja's speed of thought (realizing the threat) did work, but her visual sensory system completely failed to respond to Souichi's movement. Souichi managed to move 180 degrees to a blind spot of approximately 1 meter before Voja's eyes, which turned, were able to capture the frame of his movement.
Speed Calc : Re-evaluating Kiruma Souichi's feat by including both probabilities low-ball and high-ball.
assuming that Voja's suffocation effect is negated by Souichi's destroyed leg. To be able to perform a perception blitz on Voja, who possesses basic reflexes of Mach 1 (343 m/s) underwater, Souichi would need a speed multiplier of at least 5 times (low-ball at Mach 5 or 1,715 m/s) to 10 times (high-ball at Mach 10 or 3,430 m/s). If the massive kinetic thrust he exerts against the water pressure is applied in open air, his speed will multiply by approximately 28.5 times (Using The Drag Force formula. Since we assume Souichi's maximum muscle strength is constant, we can equate the force he exerts in the water and in the air), shooting his airspeed to 49,000 m/s (Mach 142) for the low-ball estimate, and reaching 98,000 m/s (Mach 285) for the high-ball estimate. In the scenario of a 180-degree movement of 3.14 meters to his opponent's blind spot, this speed range allows Souichi to complete his execution in just 32 to 64 microseconds. As an comparison, in such a small blink of time, Voja who tried to respond at the speed of sound would only be able to move her head by 1 to 2 centimeters, proving that Souichi is Massively Hypersonic+
Guys what do you think of this? Pls don't fry me bcs i usually don't go into powerscaling, i just wanna discuss this calc
