I have had Bear for about a month, I work 4 6-hour shifts a week, and spend a lot of time at home. He is out with me in the morning for 3 hours before work and 7-9 hours when I get home. When I put him in his cage when I go to work I set up a laptop with youtube videos playing, normally Caseoh because his vods are long (please dont judge me 😭) It worked for the first couple shifts but he will still fly around his cage, climb up the bars and flap his wings/throw a fit when I'm about to leave. He has cat toys with bells, perches, and plushy beds in his cage. I just recently added a small mirror but I'm not sure how I feel about it? He stands in front of it and just stares and preens himself, I only give it to him the days he really makes me feel bad for having to go to work.. lol. Are there any other toys/enriching things I can put in his cage to keep him occupied while I'm at work?

I have called 4 different Bird boarding places and none of them accept pigeons. In fact the second I say "my pet pigeon" they freak out and say "oh no! No pigeons." It almost feels discriminatory LMAO! Does anyone have any boarding reccomendations? At this point I am willing to drive up to 1-2 hours away if need be. I just want a backup option in case I take a vacation and my family can't watch my pigeon.
