Starting to have buyers remorse
Just bought my first bike, got license couple years ago but finally decided to pull the trigger. First week of riding has been incredible and everything I’ve been missing. But now I’m getting nonstop motorcycle fatality/crash/amputee content and it’s starting to get in my head. As it’s seemingly more common than I thought and “not if but when”.
I know that this is a “dangerous” hobby but I justified it through if i buy gear, ride during the day and don’t cut through traffic speeding like an idiot I’d be okay.
As a 34m with a good life I’m questioning if I made a mistake by not fully understanding what I got myself into.
Edit: I appreciate all the advice: the last week has been therapeutic just getting out on the road and riding without a time constraint. However after seeing the heavy volume of brutal injuries in my feed was curious how others(especially those who are seasoned) feel about it.
