My wife just got diagnosed
We are both 32. My wife always suffered from dry mouth and her eyes doctor always said that she has dry eyes, but it never affected her life and didn't bother her at all.
2 months ago she felt like she couldn't breathe, and we went to the ER where they found nothing.
Since then she's been having trouble eating, swallowing and sometimes breathing. She feels constant pain in her throat and tongue, till the point that she can't take it anymore.
We saw several doctors from different fields and they all said that this is due to anxiety because they couldn't find anything, which made her feel worse because everyone was trying to make her crazy, and no one believed her pain was real.
Finally one doctor asked her to do some blood tests and she got SSA negative and SSB positive. Given that and the symptoms, she diagnosed her with SS.
Since the diagnosis, she has been crying non-stop, and she is so scared of her future. And I feel really helpless. All I want to do is to help her, and make her feel a bit better. I will do anything it takes to support her on this journey, but I really don't know what to do...
I guess this is more of a vent about this situation, and all the shit she's been through from all those doctors...
But still, any advice on how I can help her through these days?
Will the symptoms get better sometimes?
What can I bring her to help with the pain in her mouth?
Anything else that can help her process this?
