Would you like to see Mr. Kejriwal and AAP govern India?

I would like to see Mr. Kejriwal and his party, AAP, get a shot at ruling the country.

He may not be the most experienced or seasoned, he may not be the most efficient, but by far (compared to the other major players) he is the most sincere politician we have at a national level.

He's a well-educated, well-articulate man, who can reason and think fairly clearly.

He may not walk the talk for everything he talks, but at least what he talks, he talks with reasoning, well-intent, and decency, clarity.

For the most part, he's not into showmanship or into polarizing the population, that the other big players are - and that's a sign of sincerity.

I also think that like many other politicians, he's been hypocritical in some ways, by his willingness to join hands with other parties, and he has occasionally banked on religous showmanship too.

But in terms of intention and skill - I particularly like how he tried to set up a technocratic commitee to advise him in Delhi. I like his idea of the LokPal bill. I've heard very good things about his work on Delhi government schools, infrastructure-wise at least.

I've also heard criticisms about AAP's governance in Punjab. Nevertheless, I still see it as a decent and worthy party (by far, compared to INC or BJP). I also think AAP doesn't have defectors from other parties entering into it.

But to those who disagree - name one other politician at the national level, whose intentions and sincerity for development and good governance, is crystal clear, and who's also well articulate, qualified and well-educated.

I can think only of Mr. Tharoor, but he's been sidelined by his own party unfortunately.

Also, no, I'm not paid, nor a member of any IT cell, nor any political expert... but mostly a random dude from B'luru, who's been an observer of Indian politics for a while.

Views are mine only, and I'm writing this to see what others say, what others may agree or disagree with.

Respectful and civil comments and discussions welcome. I'd like people to have a genuine discussion and not attack or label me/others.

Whataboutism, strawman arguments, red herrings arguments, and ad-hominem comments will not be responded to (look these up FYI).

Edit: (copying from comments)

As a relatively fresher face than INC or BJP, and a more educated alternate to their leaders, I see AK as the best current option.

His party is much younger than INC and BJP, both of which have decades of past baggage, a long legacy of both corruption and development and many iconoclast figures.

So his party being young, doesn't have that historical baggage, nor the jingoistic fanbase and legacy - that's the way I see it. So it might have potential. Just might. I wrote this post to give it the benefit of the doubt.

I just rewatched the scene in S1E2 - A Leaf In The Wind, where, in the midst of the Probending match, Korra starts to move like an airbender. She becomes "a leaf in the wind" with her spiraling movements. And Tenzin notices her movements, commenting "How about that!".

It just brought tears to my eyes of how beautiful Korra's growth happened.
It's indicative and symbolic of so much - of how growth needs psychological freedom and exploration, instead of rigidity, conformity, and constraints.

Korra learning to move like an airbender in the middle of a Probending match ... was simply extraordinary, and an amazing demonstration of the kind of badass girl and avatar Korra is.
Literally made me emotional, watery-eyed with happiness to see her grow in that way.

It connects with my life as well, when I've put efforts, failed, and suddenly one day ... in the midst of experiencing inner freedom, I stepped up to do things and surprise myself and others of my abilities. Of how one can grow to discover and unlock one's abilities for oneself, in such a beautiful and natural way. Of how one must discover their own path in life and teach and learn, from themselves and by themselves, of their own uniqueness. So I rewatched that one scene like 10 times :)

Just wanted to share this here :)

This is the scene - https://youtu.be/BCbug9Y8ntg?t=221
