Donkey with a long coat?
She's so fluffy! Does anyone else have a donkey with long hair? This 8-month-old jenny has an extra fluffy coat. The hair is long, soft, fine and very thick - like a sheepdog. The coat is an even length all over her body and even her legs are shaggy all the way down to her hooves. I know donkeys can have different coat types but I've never see anything like this. I thought she'd lose the extra fluffy long hair when she shed her foal coat but so far that hasn't happened yet even though it's warm where we live. I have to brush her often to keep dirt and debris from collecting in all the hair. Interestingly, her mom has a smooth coat. Do we think this little jenny will eventually slick out or will she keep her fluffy long coat?
