HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT

Such a huge accomplishment today for my 2 in half year old level 2 son, today for the first time EVER we had absolutely NO HUGE MELTDOWN leaving speech therapy 😭!!! He’s never in his life left any kind of therapy without hour long meltdowns , now I will say he just started speech therapy so this was his 3rd session and he seems to really connect with her and actually stops and listens and tries to communicate with her. Truly did click as soon as the first session started. Now I’m not getting my hopes up to much because he’s one of those kids who 1 time does amazing and the next not so much. But seeing he truly can regulate himself and not have a meltdown and get overwhelmed was amazing to see! And also he’s starting to try a ACC device , in which he’s LOVING! It’s getting him what he wants and we are starting to understand and what he wants , so hopefully insurance will cover one for him! But just wanted to share how exciting it was that he had not a single meltdown while at therapy 😭🩵

When did spotting stop?

I will be 4 week post op tomorrow , I started lightly spotting around 2 weeks and haven’t stopped. I’m constantly having to wear a panty liner , some days it’s light pink/red then it’s dark brown. I do notice if ive over done it I tend to bleed a little more but it’s still just very light , sometime I feel it come out other times I don’t and I just see it when i go to the restroom. I’m ready to stop seeing blood! I “spotted” for 3 months before I got my surgery so this is really bumming me out ! I go for my 6 week appointment on the 26th so obviously I’ll ask my OB but want to see what others have experienced if it’s the same as me !

Hysterectomy journey !

Hello, I am 28 and just had a full hysterectomy on April 15th(kept ovaries) , so I am almost 4 weeks post op, I first started my period at 10 years old and they were the most painful periods EVER, heavy bleeding. I bled through so much , and being 10 years old it was EMBARRASSING. skip forward to 18, i Had my first son, unfortunately he was born 2 months early at 32 weeks , 4lb 11oz , had a NICU stay , he’s now 9 years old and happy and healthy, after I had him I tried TONS of birth controls , pills , patches , implants , nothing helped , I actually bled for 3 months straight on the arm implant so I had that removed. They all made me sick, gain weight , very depressed , so I stopped taking anything . No Dr wanted to help me at such a “young” age so fast forward to 27 , got pregnant with my second , it took longer than I thought , I seriously thought I was infertile because there was a couple times. I most definitely should have been pregnant. But after my son at 18 I started “spotting” a week before my periods , that drove me insane ! A whole week spotting just to start a full blown intense period. My periods would knock me down for 3-4 days, bleeding heavily, back pain, cramps , headaches, nausea, so so angry. So when I got pregnant with my second , I had a couple OBs, until I finally found one that LISTENED to me! Granted she kinda had me wait it out for a few after my son until finally I started bleeding for 2 months straight again, it gave me flash backs 😅 so we did a biopsy of my uterus that showed basically heavy bleeding during my periods , which before we even decided to do that we discussed a hysterectomy after the results of the biopsy, and finally after years of pain and bleeding , also was thinking I had endometriosis, we had a set date for surgery , it took 2 months to get a date which felt like years as I was still bleeding once again. Once she got in there it was a complete mess she said ! Everything basically was stuck together , they had another dr on stand by that had to unstick everything lol , it took over 2 in half hours , and then she found a huge chocolate cyst on my left ovary in which she drained and then found endometriosis , which I was most positive I had , but that just confirmed it ! But I’m happy to report I feel like a weight is lifted of my shoulders ! I’m starting to finally get back to my normal self, I have my 6 weeks coming up in 2 weeks to check my cuff and I’m happy to finally be free and not worry about bleeding through, planning around my period , and not being miserable anymore! Only thing that’s driving me nuts is I’m still spotting 😭 I know ive read I could bleed up to 10 weeks which sucks because this is one of the reason why I had this surgery due spotting so much. I’m hoping it stops soon! But overall the first week was rough, lots of gas pains , very tired , say 10-12 I was wiped completely out , I slept those days the whole time, just got up to pee, barely even ate , it took me down. I do notic if I do more then I should I get a little more blood so I have to learn to not over do it lol still struggling not to pick up more then 10 pounds , seeing as I have a 2 in half autistic son , it’s been rough. Hes not happy having to walk and be independent lol it is 10x rougher having little children having this surgery I have to say, they don’t understand and sometimes he gets overly aggressive and he’s kick and head butted my stomach a couple times. I can’t wait to put all of this behind me and get back to everyday life , oh and sex too! Lol even though its not even on my mind , I’m still scared to even try it which I can’t for 12 weeks which im totally fine with lol I truly didn’t think I’d have a hysterectomy so “young” but to know I won’t have to suffer for months on end anymore makes it all worth it!

Anybody dealing with their kiddos not staying asleep?! My 2 in half year old has NEVER slept through the night , he’s always been a terrible sleeper. We see sleep medicine, he was diagnosed with sleep apena at 4 months old, got his tonsils and adenoids removed at 2 , that’s made zero difference, he falls asleep no problem but can’t stay asleep. He also has restless leg syndrome . due to antihistamines flaring up his restless legs we can’t use any of those, his iron levels are normal , he’s currently on 3ml of trazodone which helped for about 3 days keep him sleeping for a good 6-8 hours and then it completely stopped working and he sleeps 2-3 hours and then wakes up. Hes always been restless when sleeping , constantly waking up whining and moving. we co sleep due to never being able to get him to stay asleep , I’m tired , he’s tired , everyone’s tired. I just wish we could figure his sleeping out. Magnesium gummies don’t seem to help, the lotion helps for his legs. We have tried red light , sound machine, pregnancy pillow, tv on , tv off. Taking him straight back into his room and laying him down. literally EVERYTHING we can think of. I don’t know what else we can do !
