So I had my tube's removed in November after the birth of my last child, and my periods have been hell since. I heard it can happen your first few periods due to scarring, but this is my 5th period since and they still aren't any better. Today I scheduled a phone appointment with my ob/gyn for the 19th (she doesn't have any availability before then). But about 2 hours after I scheduled it I noticed that she immediately prescribed me ibuprofen and amoxicillin. The ibuprofen I obviously don't mind since it's a higher dose than you can get over the counter, so I'm hoping it'll help, but I'm concerned about her just immediately prescribing amoxicillin without even talking to me at all or trying to find more information first. Anyone experience this or have any advice? I don't really want to take an antibiotic when I'm almost positive I don't have an infection.
