Hi everyone, my family and I are headed to Maui tomorrow morning, and I’m curious about the current weather on the island. Of course I checked the online whether reports and they state it is scattered showers pretty much the entire week. We are saying in Kihei from 5/6-5/13.

From folks were on the island and or live there, do y’all see the weather shifting? Or is this pretty much what we’re gonna get? It’s my husband and I’s fourth time on the island, but the first time with our family, and with our three month old son.

My son is 3 months old and I’ve been using a nipple shield for about 2.5 months. He has a very shallow latch where he’s only getting my nipples in his mouth. The last time I had a phone appointment with the lactation consultant she shared some babies around the four month mark do better without the shield. She also stated that some women with short nipples have to use a nipple shield for their entire breast-feeding journey.

I’m concerned my short and soft nipples may be contributing to the latching issue.

Has anyone with short nipples had success in getting a deep latch with and without nipple shields?
