I'm currently pregnant with my third baby and I want to be more prepared this time. The first time was utter chaos, I thought "my body will know what to do" and didn't prepare in anyway. Her heartbeat dropped, they had to help her along, she aspirated on the meconium. She was in the NICU for 11 days.

Second time I thought "well I've done this before and it can't get much worse, I'll be calm, I'll get through it." She came so fast there was no time for pain mitigation of any kind. I was not prepared for a natural birth. I was not calm.

I know you can't prepare for everything, but I'm really hoping to have some relaxation techniques up my sleeve, maybe some breathing or natural pain management. What did everyone find helpful?

This is for those that have a septic, and possibly anyone that has a septic meant for less people.

I thought we had considered everything when considering having a third child. We live in a three bedroom home, but with 3000sqft we figured it would be easy enough to convert some of our extra room into a 4th bedroom in the future.

But I hadn't considered our septic size until getting the invoice from our most recent cleaning. I know the baby won't use the potty for another few years but they will need to bathe and have their laundry washed.

I'm not even sure where to start or how concerned to be.
