My first mini pond 💚🐟
This is my first mini pond. I didn’t know they were a thing until I went to a friend's baby shower and they had one. It was so cool. I picked up this large planter from Costco that holds approximately 10-15gals. Then I added some easy hydroponic plants: a pothos, peace lily, and a caladium. I treated the water with beneficial bacteria to get it ready for some fish. I then added a bubbler and heater to make it comfortable for the fish. Lastly, I added a couple of ghost wood pieces and floater plants just to give it some texture and break up some of the larger pieces. After all that, I finally put 6 guppies in to start. After a couple hours of getting used to their new environment, they are happily swimming around. Pretty nice! If this turns out successful and stable, I might do a second one 💁🏾♀️😊
