Ever since I first saw this fan art years ago, I've had an image in my head of them wearing The Original Series Starfleet uniforms walking down a corridor, but I don't have a lot of expendable funds and can't justify the cost of commissioning it. I'm imagining Ren as a Vulcan science officer and Nora in the command gold uniform. I'm not sure whether she would be better in pants or the skirt. Considering she normally does wear a skirt, it would make sense, but whatever the artist thinks looks best for her.
I'm not wanting a straight-up copy or anything. I want to respect the original artist and don't want anyone stealing from them or anything like that. I'm mostly using this image as a reference specifically for their pose and stance and expressions. I'm open to a different art style, so that this is more of an original than a rebrush or whatever they would call that.
