So continuing with my nostalgia trip, this is a video I edited combining concert footage from other edits I’ve done. I hope part 2 of the biopic showcases some (if not all) of these songs from the HIStory Tour.
Don’t get me wrong—the Dangerous Tour is also legendary for its own reasons (like the dramatic opening to the set, Jam, Will You Be There, Man In the Mirror, and exiting the stage with a jet pack). I feel it would be a great disservice to both tours to not highlight these memorable moments. I know it would be asking a lot, but one can hope🤞🏻
I had to cut down a lot, so apologies if the opening feels rushed. I also couldn’t include all of Scream, or Earth Song, because of Reddit’s upload limit (Earth Song deserves its own separate video anyway).
Still, I’m pleased with the end result ✨
“Global lovings” was such a lovely way to describe Michael’s concerts, and I think Morgan Freeman being the one to present this was perfect (Michael was too cute with not being able to hide his admiration for Morgan 💕). I hope part 2 of the biopic will do something similar to the slideshow that’s shown here.
Those who hate him want to erase his history—they want us to forget about his global impact with his humanitarian efforts, why he has remained an significant figure when discussing charitable work, and how much he sacrificed to achieve his vision for a better future.
When Morgan says “listen to this now” as the audience is freaking out, that was so notable and emphasized why this was (and still is) important—having an award category created and named after Michael in honor of his massive contributions/accomplishments as a result of his charitable actions.
There’s not a lot of people who can say that they have achieved this level of recognition to have an award named after them.
I will always be inspired by his incredible selflessness, determination (even with all the scrutiny), and genuinely beautiful soul 🕊️✨
The biopic revived this deep mournful feeling that I didn’t realize was still there (it’s felt as though it happened yesterday)… and it inspired me to create this playlist as a way to honor him, a memoir, but through his music.
I’m missing some songs, but once I add them it’ll feel “complete.” I’ve been listening through it and it’s been comforting in the right way 💕
