This is a long shot since I listened only partly to this book ages ago and somehow it did not get saved, which is deeply upsetting. I will type out all I remember. Google was no help at all, so this is my last resort.
There is this fantasy book with a female leading character who is born in the human world. She never knew her father (if I remember correctly, not completely sure) and lives with 3 other friends. 2 girls and one guy. One of the girls isnt too fond of her but they all share an apartment so it has to do.
One night she starts to see the sihoueut of a dragon outside of her window but thinks she's imagining it. Her favorite book is about dragons after all. A kind man bought her a book about it, the book she was saving for, for so long in the library that she works in. He disappeared until one night she finds him (I'm not completely sure if its the same man) standing in the field outside of her window next to an invisible dragon asking her to come with him to the dragon world. She does, she is absolutely mind blown. They have to jump through these portals, which feels as if youre being squished. She ends up being able to talk to all dragons telepathically.
At some point she has to choose between the human world or the dragon world which means she has to perhaps leave her friends behind. She ends up taking her friends with her to the dragon world and thats all I can remember.
English isnt my first language and my apologies. I know its chaotically written. My memory about this book is so faint and its hard to remember much more, let alone make the transitions smoothly. So this is the best I can do. Any help is appreciated 💫
