First House Hunting

I’m going to look at a house this weekend that I really like. It sits on several acres, massive pole barn, I don’t see any major issues from the photos, and most of what I’d want to change seems like cosmetic updates I could do over time. For the price, I haven’t seen anything else that comes close to what this property offers.

My concern is that this is the first house I’m actually going to tour, and I’m worried I might be getting emotionally attached too quickly just because it checks so many boxes. Friends and family keep telling me to shop around and look at a bunch of houses first, and that eventually I’ll “just know.”

But this one already feels like it has everything I’ve been looking for.

Is it wrong to feel this way about the first house you see? Has anyone else experienced this? Should I slow down and force myself to look at more properties even if this one seems like a great fit?

Another question, what are some of the things that I should be looking at during the visit? Obviously roof age, water heater, electrical, heater. But things that you might’ve missed your first time that you wish you had thought of beforehand?
