The clip above is from one of CringeAlarm’s streams. He agreed with a viewer that Ability Absorption should be on a 15-second cooldown and even said he could realistically climb to his current ELO on his alternate account (Grandmaster) without using it at all, which honestly doesn’t feel like much of an exaggeration.

Right now, Ability Absorption feels like one of the most gimmicky parts of Rogue’s kit. If you look at her overall power budget, most of her abilities feel appropriately valued for their cooldowns; Fatal Attraction and Chrono Kick clearly do a lot of the heavy lifting. In comparison, Ability Absorption just feels underwhelming. It can be strong in very specific situations, like stealing Storm’s abilities, but a lot of the time the payoff just isn’t worth the risk. The buffs are short-lived, and since you’re basically a sitting duck during the animation, it’s easy for the value to get completely negated, sometimes the enemy just gets healed back to full if you mistime it.

As it stands, it feels like it’s mainly useful as a CC tool, while the actual “absorption” aspect doesn’t deliver consistent or meaningful value. And to be fair, it doesn’t have to be a cooldown change, buffing it in other ways could work too. Extending the buff or ability duration, let her use certain abilities multiple times, or even making the target temporarily immune to healing could all go a long way toward making it feel more impactful.

I'd love for Ability Absorption to be the star / core in Rogues kit but its so far from that it's not even funny tbh.
