2026 Woodland Maintenance Tips

2026 Woodland Maintenance Tips

Made a post a few days about getting my Woodland recently, and now I'm wondering what maintenance tips you guys might have to really help keep him in the best shape for as long as possible! Besides stuff that the manual mentions like the break-in period/regular maintenance visits, are there any lesser-known tricks that make a difference, especially over the long-term? Looking to be proactive. Already looking into getting a ceramic coating to help protect the paint. Any other advice is much appreciated!

EDIT: Y'all I have read the manual. I spent a solid few hours just sitting in the car learning everything and setting calendar reminders for regular maintenance stuff, if I don't reach the mileage first. I'm asking for stuff not in the manual that long-term RAV4 owners have found helpful. "Extra" stuff that actually makes a difference, not just some dealership trying to wring more money out. I am completely new to this car and am hoping to gain tips from those more experienced than me. I find it hard to believe that every little possible thing that can improve this car's longevity is listed in the manual. And even if that is largely the case, I'm not sure why people have to be rude. I'm just excited about my car and want to take good care of it.

Recently had this finally arrive, then immediately used it for a 5+ hour trip. My thoughts so far? I love it! I had no idea that android auto would allow Google maps to show up on the digital gauge cluster, which was so nice just being able to glance behind the wheel for directions. The steering wheel itself feels super nice sensitivity/resistance wise; I'm coming from a '24 loaded Prius, and I like it better than that, but maybe that's just preference (I definitely prefer a slightly bigger vehicle that has me sitting higher). I do also see where the complaints for too much interior plastic come from, but honestly its not that bad. Less shiny surfaces and the plastic doesn't feel too cheap, pretty okay as far as plastics go. I knew it'd be a downgrade from the Prius luxury-feel-wise, and I'm very happy with what it is. Parking cams are awesome. The steering wheel controls were very intuitive to figure out without looking at the guide, love the cruise control controls and that tech overall. However, I ran into an issue with skipping songs on Spotify where it would skip two songs when I only pressed the steering wheel button once, so I'm trying to figure that out. Additionally, I'm in the large boat of people disappointed by Toyota sacrificing physical buttons for the infotainment screen, but it is what it is. At least I still have the basic temperature controls and the volume knob (tho I mainly control volume from the steering wheel anyway).

Not a huge fan of the orange accents and two-toned seats, so I have seat covers coming in and will eventually cover the orange plastic. The audio system could also be better, but that's something I will also use aftermarket upgrades for sometime in the future. Cabin noise isn't too bad at all, I got up to 70+ mph and I feel like the biggest thing impacting the sound quality was still just the stock audio system.

Overall, very pleased! Excited to do all my little aftermarket tweaks and see just how old this car will get. His name is Sharknado lol
