something weird happened when I removed the friction between my affirmation practices

so the rule was that before opening any social media i had to do my affirmations and visualization practices ,not to skip it

first 3 days were hard but then something shifted .half the time I finished affirmations I didn't want to use social media , the other half i opened it but it felt completely different grounded not desperate , my manifestation started faster within few weeks . I think its because I stopped leaking my energy into comparison scrolling

anyone else found that wanting energy you feel when you open social media is the thing blocking your manifestation , this system rewired my the pattern for me completely

Has anyone tried enforcing accountability to stay with LOA practices ?

I kept Failing off affirmations after 3 4 days for multiple weeks , last month i tried blocking distracting apps and only way to unlocking them after completing my visualization sessions, still going after 3 weeks longest streak ever.

Curious if others have used external accountability or pattern interrupts to stay consistent did it h shift something mentally for you ?

I blocked Instagram and tiktok on My phone and made affirmations the only way to unlock them,30 day later my life looks different

I know it sounds extreme but hear me out.

I've tried affirmations for few months now, the problem was never motivation,it was consistency. I'd open Instagram before even getting out of the bed and the whole habit collapsed. so i tried something different. I used an app that forces e to complete the affirmation sessions before unlocking them, happy to share if anyone curious . visualizations first .no skipping no exceptions

results i got 30 days streak first time in my life,stopped dreading affirmations,now i actually look forward to them,morning scrolling is completely gone affirmation sessions comes first automatically

anyone else trying affirmations to something you already compulsively ?

curious is the trigger effect works for others too

I've done LOA for few months now but could never stay consistent.then tried something sily but completely changed everything

The rule - i will use every trigger and urge to use instagram and tiktok to pause and do affirmation and visualize my desire first thats it

it worked I open opened instagram like 20 times a day by directing that energy to affirmations I went from 1 affirmation sessions to multiple affirmation sessions a day,just piggybacking no extra discipline , one week 1 kept forgetting gelt annoying week 2 now i look it week 3 feel positive about my future and doing everything with gratitude

for anyone trying pick most opened app make the rule non negotiation first it feels hard then it clicks thank youuu

The problem wasn't the affirmations themselves it was that i do them for 3 days , feel good then completely forgot about them until i felt desperate again. About a month ago I decided to try something I have heard about the 17 seconds rule from Abraham hicks ( The idea that holding a thought for 17 seconds activates the law of attraction . So I thought i need to force myself to visualize regularly .

Here what I did

1.pick 3 to 5 affirmations topics ( i chose wealth, confidence ,relationship )

2 .read affirmations

3.close eyes and visualize for 17 seconds

4.move to next

The Enforcement part This is weird but it actually worked , I blocked Blocked Instagram and tiktok on my phone . The only way to unlock was to complete my affirmation sessions first. so if I want to scroll i have to do affirmations first . no exceptions .

Results after 3 weeks

-21 days streak ( longest I have ever maintained )

-I am not trying to manifest anymore its automatic now

-my morning habit of scrolling is now replaced with affirmation sessions

-the 17 seconds feels long first now its the part I look forward to

what I learned

The 17 seconds timer is crucial ,without it I would get rushed or get distracted

The app Blocking was the accountability I needed . I Needed .It sounds extreme But it worked for me

Has anyone else tried the 17 seconds rule ? Im curious

(thank God these systems exists that made my regular with my affirmations sessions )
