Forgive me if this sounds a bit old-school, but I’m coming from a background where companies usually communicate clearly and guide you through onboarding once you’ve accepted an offer.

I recently accepted an offer from a mid-sized SaaS company and was supposed to start about two weeks later. In the meantime, I tried reaching out with some basic onboarding/housekeeping questions—but I’ve gotten zero response. No replies to emails, texts, or phone calls. I even checked with the recruiter, and they said they’re usually not CC’d on those communications, so they couldn’t help much.

This has me a bit concerned. I’ve been in the job market since last October, and I actually had another offer from a mid-sized SaaS company that ended up getting rescinded because they couldn’t match me to a team.

Given that experience, I’m wondering: is it becoming more common these days to accept (and keep) multiple offers as a safeguard in case something falls through like this? Or is this kind of lack of communication just a red flag?

Would really appreciate hearing how others are navigating this. They do use the same background agency though so that's my concern but I'm more concerned about they rescind the offer given the same opening was still on their workday which means they might be still taking resume and conducting interviews while ghosting me with a written offer?
