This is my first post and its kinda cooked but please bear with me. I always wanted to get into the bachelors of science so when I got into LFS with my second option, my goal was to eventually get into science in first year. Luckily for me I successfully got into science based on my first term grades (6 course load, yeah I know I did more than I shouldve) but things took a turn for the worse in term 2. In the later half of term 2 I started dealing with a huge personal problem related to a super close family member and even so, I persisted in not taking academic concessions because I believed I could power through it and finish strong. I was very wrong and got easily distracted, not performing as I usually do. As a result, finishing my first year my gpa dropped ~6% (mid 80s to high 70s) and I failed a physics course (not a required course as I took and passed 3). I am absolutely terrified I will be now stopped from getting into the program and I am kinda just awaiting that email. I dont know what I can do if anything and genuinely have no idea how to feel. Some advice would be greatly appreciated and yes I know I kinda did this to myself.
