Took my car to a local BMW specialist mechanic for a thorough inspection and they noted the only issue is a Drive Shaft Flex Seal crack shown in the picture below. I still have about 3 months left on the original 4 year warranty, well within the 50kmiles, so I thought I'd take it to a dealership to replace it. However the dealership is saying this light crack is acceptable and does not need replacing. I'm no expert or mechanic, I wanted to see if anyone had more insight, is this acceptable or should I escalate with the dealership? Thanks in advance!
