Kreo 75 he

I had bought the Kreo Hive 75 HE, which is a Hall Effect keyboard. Companies mainly advertise these keyboards for features like Rapid Trigger — “0.01mm rapid trigger”, “8K Hz polling rate”, and all that — especially at such an affordable price of just around 4k INR. A lot of people get impressed by those specs and buy them, and I was one of them too, so I bought the Kreo Hive 75 HE.

But after 2 days, while playing Valorant, I noticed that whenever I pressed the K key, it started spamming automatically, almost like a spam macro was assigned to it. I tried fixing it by changing the switch with a spare one, resetting the keyboard, and other basic troubleshooting, but later I found out that it was actually a PCB calibration issue. After testing it more, I realized that the issue only happened when Rapid Trigger was enabled for the K key and the fast release was set to 0.25mm or lower.

I know that almost nobody practically uses 0.2mm Rapid Trigger settings, especially not on the K key, and even I don’t use that feature myself. But when a company heavily advertises a keyboard specifically for Rapid Trigger, and that exact feature itself has issues, obviously anyone would get annoyed. I thought about replacing it through Amazon, but by then it had gone out of stock, so I claimed the warranty instead. Kreo processed the warranty request within 1–2 days.

Later I canceled the RMA because it would have taken around 2–3 weeks, so I thought it was better to simply return it on Amazon and use that money to buy a new keyboard instead.

And that’s exactly what I did. I returned it and added around 1k INR more to buy the Kreo Swarm instead. Honestly, I don’t even know why I chose the Kreo Swarm when there are so many alternatives in the 5k budget range, especially after already having a bad experience with a Kreo product in the past… Anyways, let’s see how this keyboard turns out. I just ordered it, it should arrive in around 5–6 days. I’ll try it for a few days and give a review of that one too.
