Would like to get this game

Hey guys,

I just finished Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. It was a 10/10 experience for me.

I’d like to pick up Tactics Ogre as well.

I like the way the characters look (meaning, they don’t look juvenile or overly anime like some do in other games, if that makes sense). I heard the story was similar to FFT.

I was wondering if someone could tell me a little bit more about the game? Is the writing good? Is the difficulty similar to FFT?

I have decided not to play Triangle Strategy, mostly because I couldn’t get into the writing of Octopath and I hear it’s by the same people. I also looked into Unicorn Overlord, but it’s not really my style.

Hey guys!

I just finished Final Fantasy Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles

It was an amazing game! I loved the story. I loved the game play. I put 75 hours into it, and it was fantastic. There was a little too much grinding, but I still liked it.

My question is - what should my next SRPG game be?

I’ve been looking at Triangle Strategy and Tactics Ogre: Reborn.

I like the way Triangle Strategy looks with the art design. It also seems like you can make more choices and have a say in how the story will turn out? Is there romance involved? That looks appealing.

With Tactics Ogre: Reborn, I know nothing about it. I just know that it has the same writer and creator as Final Fantasy Tactics, so that’s why I’m interested. I feel like it would be a smooth transition, or am I wrong?

Other than those two, I am open to other ideas! (I only have PS5 )

Thank you for sharing recommendations

I spent a few hours tonight trying to get Serpantarius to cast Zodiark. He would only cast Midgardsormr.

I must have tried to re-play the fight 8-10 times, and almost every single time, the fight ends abruptly mid battle without me even killing him. A couple of times I didn’t even attack him once, and the fight ended after so many turns. In other words, the fight will sometimes end after a random turn without me attacking him. It’s almost like Serpantarius gives up.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I made sure the specialty monster didn’t kill him either.

Most of my characters have ribbon and chantage equipped. I typically use Shirahadori and mostly have ninjas, except one summoner for this fight and a chemist who can find items. So, I don’t have any defensive moves that can kill him either. I basically just keep trying to stay alive so he can hit me with Zodiark and I can learn it (he never hit me with it and I never learned it).

A couple of my characters have 9999 JP in ninja and they are all between levels 60-80.

Has anyone else encounter this bug where the fight ends mid battle?

This is for PS5 FFT: Ivalice Chronicles

Hey guys,

This is my first time playing FFT. I am right before Midlight's Deep. I have a question about leveling.

I don't really understand how it works. If I level up my main level while playing as a monk, my stats will increase as a monk? But, if I level up my main level as a ninja, my stats increase as a ninja? And, each job gives different stats? Then, if I level down as either of them, my stats decrease as monk or ninja? Am I understanding that right?

My issue is that I want to learn different skills from different jobs. I do that by gaining JP while fighting in that particular job. The problem is that while doing that, I am also leveling up my main level with that particular job.

I really just want to gain speed. So my guess is that ninja is the best job for that. But, I need some other skills for my team.

So do I just learn all the skills I want to learn and then de-level in a certain job, then re-level in a job that has maximum stat growth (particularly speed)?

Does any of this make sense?
