Testing Out a Reading Light

I just received a reading light as a gift and I’m trying it out with my Manta.

Charges with USB-C
Has 3 color temps and 3 brightness levels
Clips onto the folio cover

The only down side is that I don’t feel comfortable keeping it attached with the folio closed as the metal clip touch the screen. But I really only need it if I know I’m going to be using it in a dark situation.

On Amazon: 86 lux book light

The more I draw on the Supernote the more I’d like to the Atelier’s features expanded. To start, a color picker would be a nice quality of life addition. I know there are only 16 to choose from, but it would be cool.

Anyways, here’s my latest in my learning journey.

Edit: For spelling

This was drawn from a photo reference of my child, so I’ll only be posting the drawing.

My focus here was perspective and proportion. No particular style. I would like to hear others critique. Thank you so much for your time!

Diving deeper into the layer features in Atelier I was able to compare a drawing to the original by sizing and moving it over the reference. Makes it easy to note areas on improvement. It’s actually cool that the reference maintains its color on export.

I created this template so I can practice drawing Krenz Cubes, hope this helps someone else. I also included an example of how to use it.

Boxes are hard. Trying to do the work to learn perspective and think is 3D. I don’t feel so bad with the mess ups using the Supernote, I can’t even begin to imagine how much paper I’d be throwing away doing this without it.

Day 2 of learning to draw on my Manta (I don’t really want to show Day 1…). That first eye, the one that looks like a 6 year old drew it, that was my first attempt without looking at any references, lol.

I find the images look better on the Supernote itself vs the export.
