Some communities I want to post in require higher karma and for days no matter what I do I can't get even into double digits.

I dont post anything controversial I try to be as friendly or helpful as I can but I still seem to get downvoted or ignored with only the occasional upvote, its been an uphill struggle and seemingly getting nowhere... :(

I got jealous because a friend posted about some products she bought and got hundreds of upvotes easily and has karma in the tens of thousands in under a year. Im here a month and have 7 karma. I feel boring and uninteresting and like I wont be accepted here or anywhere.
