Going down to Fort Lauderdale for a few days, coming down from the midwest. Hoping to catch a peacock, cichlid, snakehead etc. Saw online there is a boat rental at holiday park. Looks like fun, was curious if anyone had any tips or if the trip was worth it.

I am brining a 7ft medium spinning travel rod setup and just planned on picking up some shiners and free lining them. Planned on hitting some other ponds and canals on other days as well.

Can’t find the sbr version in stock online, wondering if anyone has experience buying the 16” version then cutting the barrel down and threading to sbr and fit a suppressor.

Edit: I’d have a gunsmith do it but just wanted to see if anyone had any gripes going down this path and if it just becomes a huge money pit
