First quality backlink from an established site - one link or two?

I have a new website (very low authority) and next week an established site with a strong backlink profile will publish an article linking back to it. This will be my first quality backlink.

I'm trying to decide on the best strategy:

1) One link to my homepage only

2) One link to my homepage + one link to a blog post

My goal is to build authority for both my homepage and blog posts - but I don't want the link equity to be too diluted or negatively impact my SEO.

What would you recommend for a new site in this situation?

Two backlinks from the same DA41 source - worth it or too diluted?

I have a new website (DA below 10) and next week a DA41 website will publish an article linking back to it. This will be my first quality backlink.

I'm trying to decide on the best strategy:

  1. One link to my homepage only
  2. One link to my homepage + one link to a blog post

My goal is to build authority for both my homepage and blog posts - but I don't want the authority to be diluted or negatively impact my SEO.
