Cut through mix shortcut - Mesa single rectifier tone
Can someone help me to get a good high gain tone that cuts through the mix with a Mesa rectoverb 50 combo (single rectifier) + maxon 808 and an EMG equipped guitar?
I’m still not fully sure about the fundamentals, like for a tone that cuts through the mix, is it generally necessary to have more mids? Also, is Modern or Vintage mode a better starting point?
(Keeping in mind the Maxon is set with gain at zero and volume at max, standard TS9 settings)
