Hi all, I've planted a Saijo and a Jiro this year in a less than perfect sun situation. Zone 7b. Currently it's getting 8 hours of sun, but as the leaves on the tall trees to the south fill in, it will dip to about 4hrs - possibly less... I am not sure what effect the Japanese Maple will have. It'll shield it from late afternoon sun at least. The sun should start turning around by August, and then leaves will start falling.

Anyway, nearly every persimmon video I've watched on YouTube shows the trees growing in less than ideal placement, and they're always loaded with persimmons. SO,

MY QUESTION: Will I get edible persimmons? Will I?!
