A lot of people weren't alive/old enough for the context lol. The episode came out during the peak coverage *of the American childhood obesity epidemic.

When it first became big news, it was thought of as a rich man's disease. As it turns out, childhood obesity disproportionately effects poor children who are simultaneously malnourished.  The news dropped the story pretty quickly after that became a part of the public conscious.

It has nothing to do with Chase or his story. He's just Australian and a prick.
