Building a deck off my back porch

So I was going to extend the slab about 4ft but when the qoute came in at 3k I thought to myself I should just dig this shit out and build a deck.

So I dug it out but now I'm having some conflicting ideas on how to build this thing, a buddy of mine says I need to put a footer support at every cross section, I dont want to but if I have to I will.

Just wanted to come on and see if anyone had ideas on how to keep the side from eroding over time too.

Finishing someone else's work

I was contracted to finish this with vinyl covers and railings lattice for the bottom and the facia is just more deck boards...

In theory I know how to do this but I have never done it before.

After looking at the materials in full scope I may have under bid this project a bit.

Should I push through or offer a refund? Suppose to start Tuesday.

I'm feeling doubtful in my ability to do this in the 2 days I projected.
