AIO or is this typical of group presentations?
so we have a group presentation due on the 19th at 10am and we've known about who is in our group since 2 months.
we've got exams starting on the 26th, we've got another summative on the 14th, so i don't want to hyperfixate on the presentation in the coming days and wanna get it over with.
we've met once as a group 2 weeks ago to decide the topic and what each person is going to do (it was a 20 mins meet up)
now i checked the ppt a few days ago and other than the slide titles, there's nothing.
so i messaged them on wednesday to say that they should add something by the 10th so that we can edit each other's slide until everyone's satisfied and that we can ensure no one's overlapping with their content. (because we literally don't know what exactly the other is gonna put in, we just know it's going to be the 'background', 'challenges', 'reasoning')
and just one reply out of 5 saying he isn't sure he'll be able to do it by the 10th but he'll try. all of them saw the message.
so i sent another saying that idm adding stuff onto their slides (basically saying idm doing their part of the work) as long as they do SOMETHING. no reply.
now it's due on the 19th. i'm at my wits' end. i don't like to compromise about my grades and i get that it's first year but i think a little decency to reply and put in effort into something that impacts others goes a long way. anyway, any advice on what i should do?
