This happened with me hard in FF14. So a buddy of mine, you wouldn't know him, who let me play his FF14 account with mod that consolidated buttons like in pvp. I let him know that I condoned his actions. And I tried out Gunbreaker, by far my absolute favorite job that I had to stop playing cause I couldn't keep up with how it changed, to get a feel of the potential evolved mode GNB could have.
And I still couldn't do it. In between shaking my head at my friend to let him know I don't approve of modding FF14, I realized that I've been completely skilled out and PHYSICALLY can't play my fav job. It has enough weaving that I can just barely keep up with but also enough to make my hands hurt after a bit of playing. And since weaving a fuck ton is GNB'a whole deal and identity since ShB(my favorite iteration of the job), yeah I'm fucking cooked. That's it for me, time to hang up my gunblade cause I can't be that guy again unless evolved mode somehow surprises me.
