I’m a competitive dancer, who’s most recent contemporary solo was set to the song “Body” by Mother Mother. This solo was beautifully choreographed, did well in almost every competition, and I received tumultuous comments from audience members and teachers alike, saying that the song perfectly embodied me as a performer—the problem is that I don’t know how to top it. While I have various song ideas that I think would fit my style, I have been fairly unsuccessful in my search for songs that have similar music cues and energy. If you know any songs that share a similar, polarizing vibe, please recommend!
