I came back to these massive guys who had already dropped spores. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED I MISSED THEIR PEAK! What's the verdict on these? Are they safe to dry & consume ? Will they have no potency ? Should I soak this cake again & hope I don't miss the next wave ?
I'm seeing these growths on my mushrooms, I've seen people jokingly refer to them as nipples but one seems to be out growing the pin itself. What is this called & does it affect the mushroom quality,potency of the mushroom or compromise the grow?
I know that healthy mycelium can look like this but it does appear a little gray & whispy. I don't want to mess with the newly forming pins especially so close to the finish line but I can't tell if I'm psyching myself out or I need to bust out the hydrogen peroxide.
