Bluegrass on the Road Series: Show 7

Bluegrass on the Road Series: Show 7

Continuing my series on a year of touring for a lower to mid level bluegrass band

Show 7: We just wrapped up our first festival of the year, Albino Skunk in Greer, SC. Really awesome festival, really appreciated the level at which the audience engaged with the music and the staff was top notch! Definitely worth checking out.

We left Cincinnati on Friday at 4:30 PM, got to the festival at 10 AM Saturday after stopping overnight with family, and took off back home to be with our families for Mother’s Day. That’s about the clearest picture of what life is like on the road. Its been a great weekend!

show 6 - Plain Folk Live: We had the last month off to focus on rehearsing for our summer tour but festival season is near so we’re starting back into live music. This was a great tune-up show. One of our favorite venues, a packed listening crowd, and great food. We played 2.5 hours which gave us plenty of time to clean up our summer set.
