▲ 6 r/KneeInjuries+1 crossposts

In June 2025 i was in a car accident and i broke my femur. The injury is called multi-fragmented intra-articular fracture of right distal femur. I also have a torn PCL and MCL. There is a LOT of screws in my knee to hold each piece together as they had to practically recreate my joint line. The screw i have circled has always been a concern for any medical professional who looks at the xray and the pain it’s causing me is getting worse. I am scheduled to have the screw taken out this month. Just wondering if anyone has any advice or tips on how the surgery will be in terms of recovery? Recovery time, pain, will i be able to walk? And also do you think i would actually feel the benefit of having the screw taken out? Im hoping once that screw is out i can do a lot more but id just like some opinions please? Thankyou. This is an old xray btw!!
