I'm searching for a self hosted service that would act sort of like a photo album for me and my family.
What I want to achieve is to have a service for hosting my photos, that would automatically sync new photos from my phone and that would have a web UI through which I can see all my albums.
I want to be able to share this webpage with other family members, therefore it would be great if such service would offer permission assignment as I don't want a free for all where everyone sees everything.
I want to be able to achieve something like the 'memories' on iPhone i.e. I want to have a dedicated screen in my home that will show selected photos from all my albums / trips with title that says what this place is and when the photo was taken.
I've seen people recommend Immich for photo sync / PhotoPrism as UI frontend but they do lack the more sophisticated things that I'm looking for (i.e. public-first, permission based webUI and 'memories' automatic gallery.
tldr;
looking for self hosted alternative for iCloud, that offers permission based webUI for sharing selected albums with family, and something like iPhone 'memories' for displaying photos from trips on a dedicated screen at home)
