Hello r/blenderhelp, this is my first post here and my first project that i plan to animate, and to explain the project a bit - I'm trying to make a jet engine, and then animate the airflow in the engine and make a little animation showing how it works.

The object i'm trying to create right now is the "variable inlet guide vanes" which is supposed to be in front of the high pressure compressor, and have the blades either blocking/limiting or allowing the airflow to go through, and since i don't know anything about animation, I need help understanding how to model this part to not make animating it a nightmare. Obviously the compressor blades should be easy to animate since they just spin like a fan, but in the guide vanes they rotate, either closing or opening, so I suppose i can't just make them all as 1 object and have them spin around 1 point. I'm afraid that if i make it all as 1 object, when i animate it, some vertices that would connect the parts would go stupid and look very bad. I would greatly appreciate some guide on how to do this part, and if any helper knows a good tutorial for animation it would be very helpful. I've already found one tutorial on making an airflow animation that i'm definietly going to use in this project, but I also need to find a way to animate the combustion process and an afterburner for this engine, but again, I don't know how to do it as well so any good tutorial would be of great help.

Sidenote: Please excuse my artistic skills, but I think the message in the images is clear.
