Out of 600 tickets, 0 early pulls, all on 75-80 and still lost twice to Seele. Could certainly be worse as I've won the last 50/50 and the LC rng, but it still hurts
Hey y'all. Just wanted to share a report of my experience getting to WC40 in case anyone else is struggling and/or is interested in hearing it.
I made it to WC20 back in the previous tier by using a mix of anything that popped up, basically, but the final push was using THerta and AoE Atk since she's my strongest built unit at e2s1. I thought that'd be the way to go until WC40 this time, but boy, was I wrong.
Just a disclaimer, I don't really keep resetting for investment strategies and such, so I probably struggle more than I should on these. At most I do it if I get some annoying enemy debuff at the start, like the one that reflects damage.
With that said, when I began the second journey to the top I managed to go a few levels with THerta and AoE Atk, but starting around WC25 it was like she just ceased to do damage. The numbers were big and nothing died. I even got a very early THerta at some point with the 4-star starting strategy and even then still lost in World 2, that was when I decided to put THerta aside.
After that I had a start with a good Follow-up investment/strat and decided to go for it. I had an e0s1 Feixiao so it wouldn't be totally bad. It went surprisingly good and got me to WC30 eventually, but then it was like hitting a wall again and it just didn't do damage anymore. (Although this was kinda cheated because I got an Owlbert for the first time and he gave me 10 Energy emblems in one of the FuA runs)
I also tried Break, but it was an utter failure.
It was then that I decided to visit this sub and check some tips. What stuck was someone suggesting xianzhou/express/skill points in World 1 before transitioning to the main comp and that was kinda nice. I never managed to get 3 xianzhou early, but express/belobog usually did some lifting at the start. The other important advice was that trial units could do very well, which had me surprised as I thought there was no way that could work out very well because of my past experience with trial units back in the road to WC20. Elation was suggested in a megathread post, but I'm lazy to learn how Elation works in CW and didn't really want to bother since it seemed complicated when I tried it out once with the Aha and extra items...
It was finally then that I got a good Quantum strategy and decided to try it out even with a trial Seele, since she recently got her Novaflare and it was very good. I remember vividly the world had the bosses buffed for HP%, SPD and damage so I wasn't expecting much, until this girl took off 60% of the boss HP in a single hit. Granted, I never saw she hitting that hard in following runs, but it was a sign it would probably work out.
I also remember that Belobog was kinda bad in the previous iteration? Now it seemed way stronger, I didn't really read all the changes with the new CW version so that's on me. She brought me from WC30 to WC40 in a jiff, although I had luck in some runs to get HP recovery strats that helped skip a few ranks.
tl;dr use Quantum/Belobog Seele she's bonkers even on trial
