How would you buff Baptiste?

Right now, baptiste is one of the more weaker supports. That doesn’t mean he’s unusable, but supports like kiriko and Illari really outshine him and highlight how much his kit has aged.

As a Bap one trick, it hurts to see my favorite character start to be left behind by the newer and flashier supports. So I really want to know—what buffs would you give to baptiste in order to bring him more up to speed?

To start, here’s what I would do:

Baptiste’s cooldowns are strong and are on long cooldowns. This forces you to think more conservatively when using them, which is something I like about Bap’s play style. I don’t want to mess with this aspect, but there’s a tweak to each ability I’d like to make.

Regenerative Burst

One idea I thought would be cool would be to make it so regen ignores the reduced healing passive when healing allies under half health. Right now Bap really struggles against dive and his major perk can only do so much. I feel adding this extra bit of healing would make him more of a threat to flankers and such.

Immortality Field

There’s not much you can do to this ability without making it too broken, but one thing I’ve always wanted was the ability to cancel it for a reduced cooldown like Illari. There have been so many times where my lamp gets caught on something and the person I’m trying to save died as a result. Let me cancel to at least try and save someone else before the team fight is over!

Amplification Matrix

To be honest, the only idea I have for his ult is to make it so enemy fire does half damage going through it. In my opinion I think Bap’s ult aged the best out of all his kit. I’m not saying it’s amazing compared to the others but it’s still decently strong. However this one change would be good at allowing the team to better prevent a push or allow Bap to more safely make his own plays.

As a high diamond Bap one trick this is my take on what changes Bap needs. Are they the most balanced? Probably not. I really just want to know what the community think Bap could use to be relevant again!
