Looking for Data Engineer (Mid level)

Edit: I provided a must have list because that's what I need. I'm no longer going to reply to anyone without SSIS experience, regardless if you have experience in all similar GUI tool. You'll be tested on this. Don't waste either of our time.

Looking for a DE at the company I work at. Agency we use is not sending over good candidates. Looking to onboard quickly. Must pass background check.

If you're interested share a link to your resume or email your resume, include your address, email and phone#, and availability for the interview to hiring.manager.reddit.2026@gmail.com. DM me when you send it. I created a temp email for this effort. Didn't realize reddit chat didn't have a file upload. Doing this because we're going around the agency for now and I'll submit the proper forms when I choose someone.

  • Ability to build re-runnable packages (thought provoking); ask yourself if this fails here will prod support require manual work.

Upcoming Main Project

DBAs are handling lift and shift of Teradata to Snowflake for our migration project. We need to update existing SSIS pkgs to utilize Snowflake. We'll be using CData driver. Will also need to eliminate linked server queries that were connecting to Teradata.

Day to day

  • Prod support rotation schedule with 2 others (2 weeks)

  • Automate recurring manual tasks done by data analysts

  • Data analyst is usually also the business analyst, so reqs come from them and they do UAT

  • Work is assigned in Jira

  • Source control is Gitlab

  • We handle deployment to prod (were a data team on the business side)

If you're interested in building Power BI semantic models and paginated reports, work is available.

I'm laid back. We don't have daily stand ups, just weekly updates. Get your work down in a timely fashion. Be respectful. We use AI but don't use it in the interview, just be yourself and chat. We're not perfect either.
