I’m looking for recommendations on capturing high-quality audio for outdoor acoustic performances. Specifically, I want to record vocals and acoustic guitar outside of a studio environment using battery-powered gear. Think la blogotheque, western af, etc

I’m considering a setup with lav mics on both the guitar and vocalist paired with a portable recorder like a Zoom or Tascam. Alternatively, would it be better to skip the lavs and use XLR mics directly into a Zoom/Tascam—such as a small diaphragm condenser for the guitar and a dedicated vocal mic?

Planning on recording and mastering in a DAW after the fact.
