I think season 2 and 3 is where this show shines the best with the most interesting cases and the dynamic of the whole show is beautifully written. However season 1 where you can tell all the actors are finding their groove with the characters but start easing into in towards the end of season 1. I just watched season 1 episode 10 and Lassie saying “ You astound me” to Shawn and in return Shawn gets Gus to help Lassie with his self esteem and does it selflessly. It adds so much beautiful background to Lassie, Shawn, and Gus. Lassie isn’t JUST a pissy cop with a rude attitude, he has deep emotions regarding his dream career, loneliness, and his reverent attitude towards Shawn. Shawn isn’t just a goofy dude that’s somehow insanely intelligent but also irresponsible but is someone who truly notices what others are feeling and helps them out. Gus also is loyal to a fault and is also just as strong as a main character as Shawn which is beautiful to see.

Hehe sorry for the dissertation of the show but I’ve grown up watching it and rewatching when I’m older just tickles me perfectly. And as a language arts lover dissecting shows from the story route is fascinating.
