I got into all these schools for aerospace engineering, and I would like to go into astronautical to be more specific or specialized.
SJSU - idk (apparently they don’t have my ssn)
Cal Poly SLO - $30k receiving tuition is ~15k
UCSD - idk
UCD - full ride
CSU Long Beach - $15k receiving tuition is 7k
(Values are for a year, if the numbers seem high it’s because my family is really poor )
Right now I’m in between UCSD and Cal Poly SLO, slo is giving me approx 30k for UCSD I forgot to include it in my fasfa form😭😭
30k might be enough to cover everything, if I get cal fresh. I would have ~15k for rent and other expenses, I plan to not drive my car at all and use a bike, and probably get a part time job.
But I’m between these two at the moment, with CalPoly leading a bit I feel like their aerospace department is much better, and their learn by doing sounds amazing. After 4 years at a cc, I want to do more hands on work. UCSD while they have a good engineering department seems more like a bio/medical school.
Is there anything else I should consider?
