In the book June knew who Serena was because she was on TV as a kind of Tammy faye baker type figure. She specifically mentioned the crazy eye makeup baker always wore. Is it ever mentioned in the show that June knew who she was?
I know Astrid was originally from the merchant class and "married down" when she married katniss' dad. I know it's pretty common for people who married down to be basically disowned by their families. Did that happen in her case? Do we know if any of her family was still alive by the time of the 74th games? I've always wondered why they didn't try to help Astrid and the girls at all after katniss' dad dies at least. At least give them a little money so they don't starve to death
