EAD Date issue - Stem Extension

I have a wrong EAD start date and end date. It's before my period actually started.
If I apply for STEM Extension, will I get it?
I am also interested in knowing if the 180 day extension will apply to me or not

EAD Wrong End date

My end date is wrong on my EAD. Exceeds by 10 days from the 14 month limit from my graduation.
I tried correcting it but came back with the same date.
If I apply to STEM extension in 3 months, what are my chances of it passing?
I do get the 180 day automatic extension as long as it is being processed correct??

I have an incorrect end-date (currently 15th July 2026) on my EAD. It goes beyond 14-months from my program completion, and thus needs to be corrected. (needs to be updated to 30th June 2026)
I have two choices right now:

  1. Use the current EAD with incorrect end-date and apply for STEM OPT immediately. My university has mentioned it will give me an i20. But will USCIS approve this?
  2. Second, EAD corrections will take one month, then updating my SEVIS and then applying for STEM OPT. This is a better way but I might not have time, since my work period expires on 29th June 2026. So I have to apply before that!!

Please let me know if you know if someone has applied for STEM Extension with a wrong end-date, and still got it approved. Then I can do the same.
