Thoughts on jury duty in GTA 6?
Ok, you might think this question is stupid, or jury duty would be boring, but hear me out.
In Trailer 1, we got this shot of the Florida Joker gearing up for a mugshot. It’s being covered by the news. This scene doesn’t deal with the courtroom directly, but it’s a pretty easy segway into the trial.
I don’t think it’d be a standalone activity you could do at any moment, since that’s not the most entertaining of tasks 😂, but I think it’d be pretty cool if there was part of a mission, or even just a side mission, where we hear some of a case and are part of the verdict.
We’d hear a quick piece of info from the judge, maybe a little from the defense and prosecution, then cut to the deliberation. Maybe the defendant is someone we know, and we played it off to where we didn’t know them to get on the jury. Then during the deliberation, we threaten the other jurors, maybe flash a gun we also snuck in, in order to force them to give a “Not Guilty” verdict. Something along those lines.
Maybe this is a dumb idea, but I think it’d honestly be pretty cool to have something like this in the game, even for just a one-off kind of mission. If the theories about Jason/Lucia being feds actually are true, there’s no doubt we’re gonna see some corruption, and a rigged trial and verdict like this could definitely be in the cards.
We’ve been promised extreme immersion, and what would be more immersive than common real-life civilian tasks like this? Let me know what you guys think.
