Hi there,
I’m doing an extensive study of the Early Church (although I already converted to Catholicism from evangelicalism a couple months ago) and I now want to read the Early Church Fathers for myself. My only issue now is that I don’t really know which translations are legit and trustworthy, vs the ones that should be avoided. I found this book by Robert Treynol which combines many early texts into one book. It seems interesting, but I couldn’t find much information about the author, except that they also translated some gnostic texts.
Has anyone read this book ? If so, is it recommendable ? If not, where can I find a better and more legitimate version of these texts ?
