Hi all, js wanted some advice on this.
So basically I’m in a trio occasion quartet which we formed about 6 months ago. It had been the realest friendship ever in the start but in these past few weeks we’ve been on a rough patch.
So 2 of my friends (let’s call them Jake and Alex) are in my trio. About 2 weeks ago I got a bit mad at Jake as he cancelled plans last min like so many other times and later in math made me feel ashamed my making his other friend sit next to him. Leaving me basically the front to sit in. This other friend is more popular and his role model Kinda person- later also in math he and his 2 other popular friends with Jake called me a “sub 3” which made me really very sad to which now I’ve started growing distant to him and we don’t rlly talk much and he’s also becoming rlly dry on insta and to my reels. Another thing is that he also started going to the running track to practice with another boy (let’s call him Sam) who did me and Alex very dirty and spread rumors etc. he’s also getting close to him.
My other friend Alex also laughed when they called me a “sub 3” but sincerely apologized later unlike Jake who treated that as a joke asw. Now Alex always kinda treated me as a second option and would always hang out with me only when he got into a fight with his main friend group or they didn’t have plans. He tells me his parents won’t let him come out but later I find out he went to play football / went out with his other friend group . Another thing is that whenever he’s near my house in a gathering where he dosent want to be he asks me to come out at like 9 and I js go out without hesitation. I’ve been sacrificing a lot for him and prioritizing him but like today, I asked if he wants to go out but he told me he’s playing football with his other friend group and to go out tomorrow instead. I was mad at him for the whole day and we hardly talked a lot. I don’t want to go out with them again so I wanted to know if I’m overreacting by pushing them away.
I’m so sorry for such a long text 😭😭 but I need some advice plss
